Subscription & Membership Overload!
If you have seen more and more businesses advertise their paid subscription or membership plans, you are not alone. It is a fantastic way for a business to ensure consistency in their sales, create reoccurring revenue ($$) and minimize their customer acquisition costs.
Notice - none of that was about you - the customer. In exchange for your business, you receive exclusive benefits, discounts, free shipping and access to unique products & services. However, (and this is the key) you must first know how many memberships & subscriptions you have and start to optimize the use of them!
Step 1: Create a list of your paid subscriptions & memberships (Gym, Phone, TV, Streaming Services, Food Delivery, Clothing, Data Back up, Retailers, Doctors….etc).
Step 2: Cancel what you don’t use!
Step 3: Understand what the businesses can do for you! How does your subscription & membership benefit you?
Step 4: Shop where you are invested already - use the benefits of your subscription or membership!
We made the list of subscriptions on a road trip a few years ago and I was shocked to see them all compiled. I was even more surprised when we kept finding ones to add months later. It took some time and the number does fluctuate but I can say our family is down to 10 personal subscriptions!
