Top 5 Target App Features You’re Not Using Enough!
As a Minnesota native, I’ve got a soft spot for Target—"Tarjay" if you will—and those classic Target runs. But let's face it, sometimes we need to stay focused and not get distracted by those Sour Patch Kids Oreos calling from the endcaps. That’s where the Target app can save the day! Here are the top 5 features you should be using to make your Target experience smoother and faster:
#1 - Grocery Drive Up: Add items to your cart as you run out, then choose Target Pickup or Drive Up for easy shopping. They’ll have your order ready in about 2 hours, so plan ahead! If you accidentally select Pickup, you can always switch to Drive Up in the app.
Pro tip: I often do a Drive Up" for most of my order and then pop in the store for one or two items I prefer to grab myself!
#2 - Switch your “No Bags”: When you’re doing Pickup or Drive Up, change your bag preference during checkout. You can either use Target’s plastic bags or request they pack your items in your reusable bags. Just leave them in your trunk, and the team will load them up! This can even save you money if your city charges for plastic bags..
#3 -Process a Return at Drive Up: This new feature is a game changer. Most Targets now let you process returns through the app and finish them at Drive Up! Just park, note your spot in the app, and a Target team member will come to complete the return.
(How to: Go to My Target → Purchase History → Start a Return → Drive Up Return and follow the prompts.)
#4 - COFFEE: At many Targets, you can pre-order your Starbucks coffee or food and have it delivered to your car with your Drive Up order. Skip the line and get your caffeine fix while saving time!
#5 Favorites: If you tend to buy the same staple items weekly, use the "heart" icon to save items as Favorites. Go to My Target → Favorites to quickly access all your saved items and easily add them to your cart for your next run.
